A Warning To The Worldwide Shia Community

September 15th, 2009

This website is dedicated to Imam Sahib Al-Zaman(AJ) who is the flag bearer of all that is righteous and the hope for humanity.

In a world that is culminating towards his return; the imposters, agents and false claimants are on the rise.

On Thursday 27th August 2009, Hujjatul Islam Shaykh Usama Abdulghani(HA) gave an important lecture at Stanmore Hujjat Islamic Centre, warning the community about the false teachings of ‘Shaykh’ Akram Majidi.

The students of Akram Majidi have tirelessly tried to remove any content about Akram Majidi from the internet. They have resorted to filing copyright infridgments to youtube and other outlets, in an attempt to silence efforts to warn the community of this growing Sufi cult.

Below, we have provided the video for you to benefit from.

Please make sure you spread the word and warn others.

This page serves as a permanent archive, for this much sought after video of the lecture.

The video can be downloaded (in a ZIP File) as a Windows Media Format Video (WMV) from here.

I have written a refutation on the vegan diet propogated by these fellows which might be worth reading. You can read it on my blog:

Powerful intro by the way. SobhanAllah!

Thanks for Uploading it and dedicating a page to it … it surely has enlightened me and made me aware of the present issues .. although this lecture said nothing about how to counter these people when we meet them .. cz they must have some pretty strong proofs in the support of there beliefs.
More over, where is this false Sheikh Al Majidi (which country)?
and can you translate ‘elixir of love’ (name of the book) in Urdu or Persian .. Thank You!

PS: You have my e-mail address to answer my question.

  5. Mohammed says:

Interestingly though http://themahdi.org/ has his rebuttal to this from 6 mins onwards for those interested.

This is very interesting and a great production. Not sure about the naming and shaming policy in mosks but hey if it brings benefit maybe the means doesn’t need to be justified? Too complex for me I’ll stick to my mundane praying and fasting hopefully that will get me through this world!

Btw Ehsan keep up the good work on the blog – liking it a lot!

Very interesting and useful website. May the Almighty bless you for guiding the innocent people. By the way, this is not the only deviant ideology but there are others also penetrating fast into Shia’ communities. Another fiery lecture on this subject was delivered in Urdu language on the eve of 21st Ramadhan 1430 AH at Stanmore Center, London by Sheikh Mujahidali Sheriff.

  7. Qazim says:

Mulla Sadra, the celebrated Philosopher and Mystic of Iran says in the intro to his asfar: He says that when he developed a passion for philosophy and irfan and tried to enlighten the people of his society he was met with hostility and ignorance.. such people who he says “whose reflection never elevated beyond shadows and dust, who were excluded and hostile towards the exalted Gnostic knowledge and eminent secrets of the divine knowledge.. i therefore constrained myself to a region in solitude, severed from my hopes, with my heart broken.. putting into practice the teaching of Him who is my master, my lord and my support, the first Imam, the grandfather of the holy Imams.. the witnesses and friends of God, i began to practice the discipline of arcane..

And today, he is celebrated all over the world, with annual conferences dedicated to his views.. you will find history repeating itself.. with all the mystics throughout history, who were inclined towards the only Haqq, the only reality which is Allah the exalted, that they were persecuted, but then celebrated. In mans innate nature, he fears what he does not understand, so for those who are alien to the path of the awliya and those seeking the truth, it is not strange that they speak out and condemn those who want none and nothing but Allah. In the same way, during the early centuries of Islam, people were executed for speaking about love between Allah and his servants.

I do not know Sheikh al Majidi personally. but have sat in some of his circles and those of his students, and have heard nothing but haqq, nothing but truth.. after the talk given at stanmore, suddenly everyone has an opinion and everyone has become a mujtahid saying this is wrong and so is that.. know the truth, then you will know its people. Is there any other truth to Islam but complete submission and seeking perfection and union with Allah swt? Surely this is the only purpose we have.

and when it comes to the rumours of vegan diets etc, who’s been telling you all this? and even if it were true, im sure you all know that in the UK these days, it is extremely difficult to trust butchers and restaurants, and with meat one needs to be 100% certain that it is halal, so for some in regards to meat and for others beyond meat, they may not have that certainty, is that then something people should criticise?

    Wa’Asalaam.

  8. Qazim says:

Also thought id add what Mulla Sadra says when he came out of solitude in terms of what he achieved.. I stress however that solitude is not required to attain spirituality.. in regards to Sadra, there were some political and social contexts that played certain parts..

Asfar “when I had persisted, in this state of retreat and of separation from the world for a prolonged period, behold at length my inner effort brought my soul to incandescence. Through my repeated spiritual exercises my soul was kindled with luminous flames. Then the lights of celestial Kingdom poured over my soul when there were unravelled for it the secrets of the jabarut (world of pure intellect), penetrated by the mysteries of the divine unity. I came to know the divine secrets that I had never yet understood; secret symbols were revealed to me, as previously no rational demonstration had been able to. Rather, say, all the metaphysical secrets I had known to this time by demonstration, I now grasped by intuitive perception, and a direct vision.. then God inspired me to pour out a mouthful of the drink I had tasted to appease the thirst of the seekers..

  9. rezvan says:

Nothing wrong with a Vegan diet. Did the Prophet not say to not make our stomachs a graveyard for dead carcasses. why do muslims not be constuctive and produce organically reared farm animals and then make them halal in a holistic fashion. This would be far better than the time spent fault finding in others, surely that itself is a sin.

  10. Ali Haider says:

After seeing all this I am rendered absolutely speechless.

You are allowed to speak publicly against someone if he is a KNOWN OPEN sinner or transgressor. Muawiya was an open sinner and known for it, Yazid was an open sinner and known for it also, hence why the Imams spoke openly against them.

As far as I know, all of Majidis gatherings are private and he, nor his students, have never commited a sin in public nor are they known to promote indecency or wickedness.

How someone can use the teachings of the Ahlulbayt [as] to defend this sort of open and public defamation is beyond me.

    Ali Haider

  11. Dhulfakar Zuljana says:

    Salam alaikum,

Mulla Sadr studied under the great Sheikh Baha’uddin and the philosopher Asterabadi. Where did Akram study? Who did he study under? Was his place of study a recognized hawza? Are his teachers considered knowledgeable?

The sad truth is that he never studied in a proper hawza: he studied in a Sufi tarika. Please don’t insult Mulla Sadr by comparing the two. How many times does Islam tell us to never follow blindly?

Qazim: He does promote the Vegan diet, but only in 40 days cycles. You obviously have not known him very long. The point is not that there is anything wrong with the Vegan diet. The problem is that it is wrong to state that one should follow this diet in order to attain higher spiritual levels. We should fight our nafs on all levels. Eating a vegetarian meal that our nafs desires has the potential to be worse for us than a meal with meat that our nafs does not want to eat (these type of dietary prescriptions are obviously meant for arifs).

In the “Elixir of Love” written about Shiekh Rajab Khayyat, you can find the following:
One of the Shaykh’s devotees related about him that the Shaykh was once holding a session in one of his friends’ house. Before starting his talk, he felt somehow weak due to hunger and asked for some bread. The householder brought him half a loaf of bread for him to eat, and then he started the meeting. The following night he said:
Last night I made salutations to the holy Imams (a) but I did not see them. I pleaded to find the reason. I was told intuitively: ‘You had half of that food and the hunger alleviated. Why then did you eat the other half?! Having some food enough for body’s need is all right, but extra to that would cause veil and darkness.”

Apparently eating a Vegan-friendly food has just as much potential to be harmful for one’s nafs as eating meat does.

I also want to know why he’s been divorced twice. Which one was beaten harder, the first or the second? I suggest you speak with them.

Finally, Majidi is popular enough to be spoken about and it is extremely that this subject be brought up before more people are possibly misguided.

Ghurarul Hikam vol. 7, p. 269, it is said: ” A scholar’s slip corrupts the world.”
Adabus Salat by Ayatollah Khomeini (ra’): “If the scholar is corrupt, the world will [be] corrupt[ed]“

  12. pathwayseeker says:

    Salams,

I am so confused by all these talks. I just watched the video where Majidi is proclaiming that he is the right and his doings or rather justifying whatever he is doing. Again, why does one need to justify that one group is doing right than the other. Aren’t we all shias in the end of the day. I.Ali as has said learn even it is from a fool.. (maybe not correct interpretation) and also don’t see who is talking rather see what is the person talking. Why else can he be wrong? Does also what he says contradict traditions and Hadeeth and the Quran? please educate. Why are his followers also not allowed to give lectures?

And also we find it also important to study further to university level.. and further, probably do a pHd.. If we were to choose between going to Qum and dedicating our lives to studying there, which would be better? It is wajib on everyone to seek knowledge.. but is one form of knowledge given precedence over the other?

Thanks for the above link. May Allah swt guide us all. and may we prepare ourselves for the coming of our imam.

I think you are quite mistaken if you feel such is the case. In Qum, many of their gatherings are public. Majidi went as far as starting his own classes in the haram of Bibi Masooma [s], infact he did conduct a few classes there. You cannot get more public than that.
